We went on 3 expedition trips in the past couple weeks. First, we went to the Beaver Dam Brook and tested three different locations of the brook and nearby bodies of water and walked around in the surrounding neighborhood. When we went here, we looked for pollution to see how this changed the way of living. We found a lot of pollution in both the water and the surrounding area, which would be damaging to the watershed.
The second trip was canoeing on the Charles River for a whole day. We tested for were dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, air temperature, and water temperature.
The third trip was at Lake Cochituate in Natick. We walked in different areas observing the health of the lake. As with the Charles River trip, we tested for dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, air temperature, and water temperature at number of different locations around the lake.
