Lake Cochituate is located within Cochituate State Park. The lake is used for recreational purposes including boating, fishing, swimming, windsurfing, and picnicking. Lake Cochituate used to be Framingham's major reservoir, but as Boston grew, a series of reservoirs replaced Lake Cochituate.
